our journey
mission + vision
Our journey began in a room, where a group of college students gathered because they craved something more. They were looking for more in their lives, more for their future, and honestly, they just wanted more from Jesus. Many of them were already Christians, but there was still a piece missing. In asking tough questions and having hard conversation, they found themselves. They also found Jesus, patiently waiting with open arms.
In 2019, we had our first meeting in a chapel. It wasn’t anything grand; we didn’t organize a big event. It was simply a group of college kids eager to seek Jesus and listen for his voice. Fast forward five years, and here we are. CITY LIFE is a welcoming place for everyone. We’ll never turn anyone away, and we’re committed to loving our community just as Jesus loves us. We don’t align with any specific denomination, we don’t have a set way of worship, and we don’t require our people to do “church” in a particular style. Our goal is for people to encounter Jesus.
This is a space for you—a safe place where you can meet Jesus for the first time or reconnect with Him again.
CITY LIFE is a movement focused on discipleship + outreach, with the main goal of sharing the gospel. Our mission is to connect with college students + young adults through engaging experiences that bring the communities together and inspire a love for Christ in this generation. By implementing strategic outreach moments, we provide chances for young adults to feel the presence of Jesus and join community.
Our aim is to share the gospel, build connections, and help individuals find local churches. We believe that local churches play a crucial role in offering ongoing support and spiritual growth for those we reach. While we focus on creating initial encounters with Jesus and life transformation, we view local churches as vital partners in nurturing the faith of young adults.
In everything we do, we aim to be a bridge, sharing the gospel and bringing cities together, while helping those we connect with discover a home.

At CITY LIFE we embrace our uniqueness, and it's our differences that truly set us apart. The idea that "we are different and set apart" comes from the belief that we are chosen to uphold a distinct set of values or a special purpose. As believers in Jesus, this is reflected in scripture that describe us as "a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people" (1 Peter 2:9).
Being "set apart" means that we are called to live in ways that reflect the love, holiness, and truth of Jesus. This doesn’t imply that we think we’re better than anyone else; instead, it highlights our unique mission: to showcase God’s character and make a difference in the world by demonstrating Christ’s love and compassion. Practically, this translates to making choices in our actions, attitudes, and relationships that mirror a life grounded in faith. For example, instead of giving in to societal pressures or selfish desires, being "set apart" encourages us to prioritize values like kindness, integrity, humility, and selfless love.
So, being “different” isn’t about isolation; it’s about transformation—a journey of aligning our hearts and actions with God’s ways to positively influence the world. It’s an invitation to live authentically in faith, standing out because of our commitment to higher principles that honor God and uplift others.
With these ideas in mind, we prayerfully chose the name, CITY LIFE BIBLE STUDY. Our city is wherever the gospel is shared and wherever people are in need of Jesus.
